Estonian wooden house producer’s turnover in 2010 grew 81%

According to Estonian
Woodhouse Association, the turnover of Estonian wooden house producers in 2010
totaled 214 million euros, which is 81 percent more compared with 2009. The turnover of companies in the Association totaled
95,5 million euros.
The main export country of Estonian wooden houses is still Norway. In 2010 Norway’s export turnover value was 57,5 million euros. Norway is followed by Germany and Finland with export turnover values of 17 and 11 million euros.
Estonian wooden house producer’s net profit in 2010 was 11,5 million euros. The number of employees grew 41 percent compared with 2009 and totaled 2438.
The 2010 statistics are based on 135 Estonian wooden house manufacturers.
